President insists on removal, disposal of chemical waste
Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has stressed the importance of the disposal of toxic chemicals that are being stored in rural areas and the organization of the relevant work to do this.
"First of all, we have to look at the list of toxic chemicals stored in rural areas today. Secondly, we have to decide what we should do with them," the president said at a meeting of the Council of Regions in Boryspil on Wednesday, according to his press service.
Yanukovych also said that chemical waste has to be removed and disposed of. The Industrial Policy Ministry of Ukraine has to organize this work, the president said.
He added that Ukraine should learn from the experiences of other countries to tackle the issue.
