Belarus to finish Roshen inspection in week, no infractions found so far

The Belarusian Health Ministry has not yet found anything out of the ordinary in its inspection of the products of Ukrainian confectionary company Roshen, Deputy Health Minister and chief public health officer Igor Gayevsky told Interfax.

He said the inspections will continue for another week.

"Belarus has not yet made a final decision on the products of Roshen. We are continuing to inspect this company's products. And we will continue to do this for another week," Gayevsky said.

"Samples of Roshen products have been taken all over the country. Tests for product safety are underway. The only thing I can say is that the work continues and the results that we have so far do not confirm the presence of any abnormalities in this company's products," Gayevsky said.

"But it's still early to assert anything concrete on Roshen. The company's products are very broad, there's a substantial range of manufactured product, it needs to be inspected, and this work takes longer than one day," Gayevsky said.
