Metrowagonmash to supply 40 wagons to Kyiv Metropoliten
OJSC Metrowagonmash (Mytischi, Moscow region), part of Transmashholding (TMH), has signed a contract for the supply of eight metro trains to Kyiv Metropoliten, said TMH.
The contract is for 81-717.5M/714.5M car models.
In general, eight trains consisting of 5 cars (40 wagons) will be supplied. The rolling stock will be delivered to Ukraine by the end of 2013.
The rolling stock of Kyiv Metropoliten consists of 774 cars, about half of which were made by Metrowagonmash. The last batch of cars was passed in 2010: it consisted of 42 intermediate cars.
Metrowagonmash is the largest Russian manufacturer of rolling stock for subways. In addition, it produces rail buses.
