Spain's Volotea low-cost air carrier to fly from Kyiv airport from 2014
The Volotea low-cost air carrier (Spain) from 2014 will start performing flights from Kyiv International Airport, the press service of the airport has said.
According to the report, the Spanish air carrier is considering possible routes to the following cities in Europe: Madrid, Marseille, Porto, Bologna, Berlin, Bucharest, Krakow, Dublin, Sofia, Stuttgart, and Manchester.
Volotea is a low-cost airline headquartered in Barcelona. Its fleet consists of nine identical Boeing 717 aircraft designed for the carriage of 125 passengers. Currently the company flies to 52 European cities.
After Volotea launches flights from the airport, the number of low-cost airlines flying from Kyiv airport will reach five.
Kyiv Zhuliany International Airport is one of the five largest Ukrainian airports in terms of passenger transportation.
