Ukrainian diplomats help to re-register passengers hit by French airlines strike, says ministry
Ukrainian diplomats in France are providing maximum assistance to Ukrainian citizens that have suffered from a strike of French airlines.
"The flights of French airlines have been cancelled, while Ukrainian [airlines] carry out their flights. The diplomats intend to provide maximum assistance to Ukrainian citizens during their re-registration," Acting Director of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry's Information Policy Department Yevhen Perebyinis told an Interfax-Ukraine reporter.
As reported, around 1,800 flights were cancelled in France due to a strike by French airlines on Tuesday.
Civil aviation employees started a three-day strike in France on Tuesday.
The organizers of the strike are protesting against the European Commission's plans regarding the liberalization of the sphere of civil aviation.
The press service of the Boryspil International Airport (Kyiv) reported that a number of Kyiv-Paris and Paris-Kyiv flights were cancelled due to the strike.
