Stavytsky: Ukraine hopes to receive advance payment from Russia for gas transit

Ukraine expects to receive from Russia an advance payment for gas transit, Ukrainian Energy and Coal Industry Minister Eduard Stavytsky has said.

"In principle, this is in our plans," he told reporters on Wednesday when asked whether Ukraine is planning to get an advance payment for transit.

However, Stavytsky did not specify the amount of the payment.
