Azarov says Ukravtodor will have to give up building new roads in 2013 due to harsh winter
Last winter, one the government considers was abnormally severe, has obliged Ukravtodor to give up the previously planned construction of new roads in 2013, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has said.
While opening a government meeting in Kyiv on Wednesday, he said that Ukravtodor would direct all efforts on the scheduled repair and overhaul of existing roads and that the construction of new roads would begin in 2014.
Azarov also called for a serious tightening of the requirements on haulers' compliance with road temperature regimes and weight of cargo during the transportation of goods.
