Coal stocks at Ukrainian power plants 1.8% down in March 2013
Coal stocks at thermal power plants and combined heat power plants fell by 1.8% or 94,400 tonnes, and as of April 1, 2013 came to 5.157 million tonnes, according to the Ukrainian Energy and Coal Industry Ministry.
The stocks of boiler oil at power plants last month decreased by 1.6% or 1,900 tonnes, to 118,800 tonnes.
Coal stocks at electric power plants as of April 1, 2013 were 91.4% up on the same date last year (2.694 million tonnes), while those of fuel oil were 5.5% down year-over-year (125,200 tonnes).
The average daily supply of coal to power plants fell from 105,000 tonnes in February to 101,700 tonnes in March, while daily consumption declined from 104,900 tonnes to 104,700 tonnes.
Natural gas consumption by power plants in March 2013 was 679.8 million cubic meters, against 599.4 million cubic meters in February 2013 and 622.2 million cubic meters in March 2012.
