Ukrainian government forecasts hryvnia exchange rate in 2014-2015 to stand at UAH 8.50/$1
The Ukrainian government forecasts the average hryvnia exchange rate in 2014-2015 at UAH 8.50 per $1, while in 2013 it will be UAH 8.40 per $1.
Corresponding forecasts are given in the prospectus of the issue of Ukrainian eurobonds.
According to the document, the national budget for 2013 is based on the forecast for GDP growth of 3.4%, 4.8% inflation and a budget deficit of 3.2% of GDP.
In addition, the prospectus states that the national budget for 2013 foresees the introduction of a new program worth UAH 30 billion, according to which the country's banks will provide loans for small projects (up to UAH 10 million each), the repayment of which will be guaranteed by the Ministry of Finance. The matter concerns the realization of projects in the field of energy efficiency, energy saving, import substitution, support for national producers and social programs.
