Cabinet eager to improve system of diversified housing and utility tariffs, says Azarov
The Ukrainian government intends to improve the system of diversified housing and utility tariffs for the population, the country's prime minister, Mykola Azarov, has said.
"Our people will pay [housing and utility] tariffs adequate to their incomes. On the other hand, the government suggests partially transferring the burden of budget compensations for the difference in tariffs to the rich. We will improve the system of diversified tariffs for those who can painlessly cover the market value of utility service," he said at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on Wednesday.
The PM added that the government will not increase housing and utility tariffs for low-income citizens.
