Public joint-stock company Motor Sich (Zaporizhia) has finished the formation of an order portfolio for 2013, and the volume of orders is evaluated at $900 million, a representative of the top managers of the company has told Interfax-Ukraine.
"Today, the order portfolio for this year has been completely formed. Its volume amounts to over $900 million, which exceeds the indicators of last year [around $800 million, a rise of over 12%]," he said.
The source said that the share of the aviation sector of the total order portfolio is around 90%, made up of helicopter engines of all types, D-436, AI-222 and AI-20 engines of various types.
The key customers are Russia, China, India, countries of the Southeast Asia, Latin America and the Middle East, he said.
Motor Sich is one of the world's largest manufacturers of aircraft engines and industrial gas turbine plants. It supplies its products to 106 countries.
The Ukrainian versions of Soviet Mi-8T and Mi-2 multipurpose helicopters, which are being modernized by Motor Sich, have good market prospects, experts say.
