Weather Center: Situation with winter crops not much cause for concern, except Crimea
The condition of winter crops in Ukraine is not currently cause for serious concern, apart from in Crimea, Chief of the Ukrainian Weather Center Mykola Kulbida has said.
"The condition of winter crops is not cause for particular concern now. Only about 12% are weak, and this part of the crop is of the greatest concern if the weather conditions deteriorate," he said at a briefing in Kyiv on Tuesday.
Kulbida said this percentage was within the average annual rate.
"Today the greatest concerns are in Crimea, where the percentage of areas with crops in poor condition even exceeds 40%," he said.
