Tax police in Odesa region opens criminal case against Nova Poshta
The investigation department of the tax police of the State Tax Service in Odesa region has opened a criminal case against Nova Poshta LLC.
The public relations department of the State Tax Service in Odesa region reported that the criminal proceedings were launched after the submission of an application by a citizen on violation of Ukrainian law by the company.
"The proceedings are performed in line with Ukrainian law," reads the report.
Kyiv-based Nova Poshta delivers cargo and mail all around Ukraine. The company has over 1,000 departments all over the country. In 2013, the company plans to double the number of its departments, bringing their number to 2,200.
According to a study of the Ukrainian association of direct marketing and NSBC, the share of Nova Poshta of the postal logistics market is 9.3%. The company is second on the market after national operator Ukrposhta. The total annual market capacity is evaluated at UAH 2.45 billion.
