Azarov promises not to strengthen tax burden on producers during crisis
Acting Prime Minister of Ukraine, candidate for the post of prime minister Mykola Azarov has promised that tax burden on national producers would not be strengthened.
Speaking at the Verkhovna Rada on Thursday, he said that in conditions of global economic crisis, many countries had increased the tax burden and tax rates.
"I declare that Ukraine will not go that way. Our citizens do not have the income the citizens of the European Union have, and therefore we are not going to shift the burden of the crisis onto the shoulders of ordinary citizens, as we did not shift the burden of the increase in the gas price. I consider it absolutely unacceptable to increase the tax burden on national producers," he said.
According to Azarov, the new Cabinet of Ministers is intending in the future to continue to carry out the program of economic reforms declared by President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych.
