Time will show how far Ukraine will go in Customs Union accession, says Yanukovych
Ukraine is harmonizing its laws with the regulations of the Customs Union, otherwise domestic manufacturers may lose the market, Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has said.
"We're currently harmonizing our laws, rules and regulations with those of the Customs Union. It's a long road but if we don't do it, our producers will face discrimination and lose the market. Time will show how far we will go in integrating with the Customs Union," the president said in an interview with The Hindu publication, asked whether Ukraine would join the Customs Union.
As reported, Yanukovych will hold a state visit to India on December 9-12.
