Azarov hopes to increase shale gas extraction to 20-30 bcm per year in 5-10 years
Ukraine is planning to increase shale gas extraction to 20-30 billion cubic meters (bcm) per year in some five to ten years, Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has said.
"We hope that in the near five to ten years we will extract at lest 20-30 bcm of shale gas per year," he said at a forum of Ukrainian and Norwegian businessmen in Oslo on Friday.
