Ukraine is planning to revive its merchant fleet, Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has said at a meeting with Minister of Fisheries and Coastal Affairs of Norway Lisbeth Berg-Hansen in Oslo on November 29.
"We have a very ambitious task – to revive our fishing and merchant fleet," the premier said.
He recalled that in Soviet era Ukraine had one of the biggest merchant ports in the world.
Azarov stressed that Ukraine has capacious shipyards, with the help of which the country could carry out its ambitious task.
