Yanukovych hopes LNG supplies to Ukraine will start in 2015
Doha, November 28 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Kyiv hopes to start receiving liquefied natural gas (LNG) in early 2015, Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has said.
"We hope that Ukraine will receive first supplies of liquefied gas in early 2015. We also expect that Qatar – our friends and partners – will become one of the most important suppliers," the president said at a presentation of Ukrainian national projects in Doha (Qatar) on Wednesday.
The president added that the construction of the LNG terminal "is being successfully implemented" in Ukraine.
According to him, a consortium is being formed for the implementation of the project, and the construction of the terminal has been launched on November 26.
As reported, Yanukovych is making an official visit to Qatar on November 27-28.
