Ukraine can build solar, wind power plants for UAE, says Yanukovych
Ukraine has offered to build solar and wind power plants for the United Arab Emirates, Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has said.
"Today, Ukraine has offered the full construction of solar and wind power plants. We believe that this area is very promising for us," Yanukovych told reporters in Abu Dhabi on Monday while commenting on the results of his talks with the country's leadership.
The president said that the United Arab Emirates is interested in building renewable energy sources, and in attracting new technologies.
According to him, the promising areas for the two countries' cooperation include the defense sector, agriculture, energy, space and high technology.
The Ukrainian president is on an official visit to the United Arab Emirates. A number of bilateral documents were signed during this visit.
