Ukraine planning to create reconstruction and development bank, says Azarov
Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov supports the idea of creating a reconstruction and development bank in Ukraine to credit exporters and large infrastructure projects.
"We've set a task of returning to an idea that has been discussed for many years in Ukraine, but we lacked the determination for its implementation. It is related to credit support for our exporters, and we are planning to set up a reconstruction and development bank. This is its first conventional name," he said on Friday while visiting Interfax-Ukraine to mark the agency's 20th anniversary.
"This bank's priority task is to provide big and serious infrastructure projects with credits," the premier said.
According to Azarov, the implementation of large investment and infrastructure projects and the crediting of the export sphere, are key factors for economic development.
