Parliament prolongs ban on sale of farmland until January 1, 2016
The Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine's parliament, has prolonged a ban on sale of farmland until January 1, 2016.
Some 269 of the 348 MPs registered in the sitting hall on Tuesday voted for a bill amending the Land Code of Ukraine, which prohibits the sale of farmland.
At a sitting in the morning, the parliamentarians failed to pass the law.
