Agricultural Policy and Food Minister denies there are any reasons for bread price rise
There are no reasons for bread to rise in price, Agricultural Policy and Food Minister Mykola Prysiazhniuk has said.
"There are no reasons for bread to rise in price, because the country this year collected the third largest harvest in terms of volume over the period of its independence," he told the journalists in Kyiv region on Thursday.
The minister said that now there are rather large reserves of food grain, and the agrarian fund how has over 1.9 million tonnes of wheat.
Prysiazhniuk also said that there is always a question of seasonal bread price rises, which could be resolved through the modernization of the bakery branch to reduce expenses on energy while baking the bread. According to him, the government is drawing up such a program.
