Share of bad loans in Ukraine up to 9.38% in August, says NBU
The share of bad loans in Ukraine in August 2012 rose by 0.18 interest notches, to 9.38% of the overall sum of issued loans, according to a posting on the official Web site of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU).
The amount of bad loans in monetary terms was up by 0.9%, to UAH 76.614 billion.
The share of foreign capital in the banks' overall charter capital in the period concerned grew by 1.7 percentage points, to 42.9%.
The overall number of banks with foreign capital working in Ukraine was 55. The number of banks with 100% foreign capital stood at 23.
As of early September 2012 there were 175 banks operating in Ukraine.
