Ukraine might cut roster of state enterprises not subject for privatization by five times
Ukraine's Ministry of Economic Development and Trade has proposed cutting down the roster of state enterprises not subject to privatization from 1,492 to 290 firms.
At a meeting with President of Black Sea Trade and Development Bank, Andrei Kondakov, Economic Development and Trade Minister Petro Poroshenko said that the necessary legislative initiative has already been presented for review by the Ukrainian government.
"We have a full-fledged privatization plan. I presented a draft law at a government meeting, which significantly shortens the list of enterprises barred from privatization. For an example, there were 1,492 [enterprises] and 290 will remain [not subject for privatization]," Poroshenko said.
