Sources for implementing Ukraine's economic plan agree to work out details in coming weeks – Ukrainian PM

The sources responsible for implementing Ukraine's economic plan have agreed to work out the details over the coming weeks through meetings in European capitals, Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko announced on Telegram on Saturday.

This agreement was reached in Kyiv on Saturday during the economic block of consultations with national security advisers from 15 partner countries, the European Council, the European Commission, and NATO. Joining the discussions online was Steven Witkoff, a representative of the U.S. president.

Svyrydenko recalled that Ukraine, together with its European and American partners, is working on the Ukraine Prosperity Plan, a joint program of Ukraine, the United States, the European Union, and the G7 countries aimed at postwar recovery and economic growth over the next ten years.

"According to our estimates, Ukraine's needs in this area amount to $800 billion. We intend to attract these funds through public capital in the form of grants, loans, and private investments in infrastructure, energy, industry, and human capital development," she wrote.

Svyrydenko also said that there is a shared vision that Ukraine's accession to the European Union is a cornerstone of the country's economic development. "At the same time, economic prosperity is impossible without full and reliable security guarantees for Ukraine," she added.

The economic consultations also included Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Taras Kachka and Minister of Economy Oleksiy Sobolev.
