Coal reserves in Ukraine reach historic level of 3 mln tonnes – PM
Coal reserves in Ukraine are approximately 3 million tonnes, which is a historic figure, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said.
"We have approximately 3 million tonnes of coal in our warehouses. This is a historic figure, if not for the entire history, then for the last 20 years for sure," Shmyhal said during the hour of questions to the government on Friday, which was broadcast live on YouTube by MP Oleksiy Honcharenko (the European Solidarity faction).
According to the Prime Minister, such volumes are explained by the fact that the Russians have destroyed a significant amount of coal generation.
