Ukrposhta to adjust tariffs for selected intl destinations in 2025

In 2025, JSC Ukrposhta will make selective tariff adjustments for certain international destinations while maintaining rates unchanged for key countries, stated Yulia Pavlenko, Director of International Operations, in an exclusive video interview with Interfax-Ukraine.

Moreover, tariffs for the United States and the UK are expected to decrease.

"We will introduce minor adjustments for a handful of countries with longer delivery routes. Delivery costs to other destinations will either remain unchanged or decrease, as in the cases of the UK and the United States. Among the countries for which tariffs will slightly increase is Turkmenistan, due to the necessity of a more extensive air route. As a state-owned enterprise, we cannot afford to operate at a loss," Pavlenko explained.

According to the Ukrposhta website, tariffs for parcels up to 10 kg will remain unchanged for key destinations. A slight adjustment will apply to rates for Armenia, Israel, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan.

Additionally, there will be a modest increase in tariffs for EMS shipments (packages up to 30 kg) to Poland. Rates for letters weighing 1,001–2,000 grams will increase by $2, raising the price of registered letters to $3.5. Ukrposhta clarified that this category accounts for only 6% of all letters.

PRIME small package rates for weights between 1 and 2 kg will increase by an average of 10% for zones 1 and 3. However, rates for zone 2, which includes the United States, will remain unchanged, Ukrposhta said.

Upcoming changes also include aligning tariffs for parcels over 10 kg with those for parcels up to 10 kg, making it more cost-effective to send larger parcels.

Moreover, the domestic tariff component included in the overall rate for parcels, EMS shipments, registered letters (paid with an electronic stamp), and PRIME packages will be revised.
