Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen on Thursday, December 19.
"We discussed the priorities in the work of the new European Commission and Ukraine's accession to the EU. We separately discussed the use of frozen Russian assets for the needs of Ukraine. Grateful for the new EU macro-financial assistance of EUR 18.1 billion as part of the G7 loan. We expect the first tranche in January 2025," Zelenskyy wrote on his Telegram channel following the meeting.
