Everything indicates that transit of Russian gas to stop from Jan 1, 2025 – Dpty Minister of Energy Andarak
Stopping transit of Russian gas through Ukraine from January 1 is becoming a reality, said Deputy Minister of Energy Roman Andarak.
"What seemed impossible a few years ago is becoming a reality. From January 1, everything indicates that transit [of gas from Russia] will stop," Andarak said during an online speech at a thematic event of DiXi Group in Kyiv on Wednesday, an Energy Reform correspondent reports from the scene.
According to him, transit will no longer be a decisive element of supplies for Europe and for the regions of Ukraine.
"Our GTS operator has made some progress in developing alternative gas supplies from other sources," Andarak added.
