Govt to allocate extra EUR 86 mln for building protection systems around energy facilities - Shmyhal
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine will allocate additional EUR 86 million for construction of protection systems around energy facilities, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said.
"Despite further attempts by the enemy to defeat our energy facilities, today the situation in the energy system is stable and balanced. Energy remains our priority area of attention. The government and energy workers continue to restore, repair and develop decentralized generation 24/7," Shmyhal said at a government meeting on Tuesday.
In this regard, the prime minister said that the government has made a decision that will allow the redistribution of funds within the framework of a loan from the European Investment Bank for the modernization of our substations.
"We will be able to allocate an additional EUR 86 million to the construction of protection systems around energy facilities, which will reduce the risks of Russian terrorist attacks," Shmyhal said.
