African markets have significant potential for developing business relations in agri sector - Agrarian Ministry
African markets have a significant potential for developing business and production relations for the Ukrainian agricultural sector, said Acting Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Taras Vysotsky at a meeting with Ukrainian diplomats working in Africa.
"For the Ukrainian agricultural sector, African markets have a significant potential for developing business and production relations. In particular, in the short term, we are talking about exporting Ukrainian products to the countries of the continent, and in the medium and long term - the possibility of developing technological partnerships," the press service of the ministry quoted him as saying.
According to the ministry, a working meeting of government and business representatives on enhancing cooperation with African countries in the agro-industrial sector was held at the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine. It was attended online and offline by MPs, representatives of the President's Office of Ukraine, the leadership of the Federation of Employers of Ukraine, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ukraine, the international platform for export promotion Nazovni, Ukrainian-African Trade Mission LLC, ambassadors and chargés d'affaires of Ukraine in 10 African countries, as well as representatives of more than 70 Ukrainian companies in the agro-industrial complex.
The event took place as part of the implementation of Ukraine's foreign policy strategy aimed at strengthening Ukrainian-African relations, as well as to implement the agreements reached as a result of the African tour of Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba in August 2024.
