Ukraine hopes to get through winter consuming domestic gas – PM
Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal hopes that Ukraine, as in the previous heating season, will get through the winter consuming domestically produced gas.
"Another direction of our energy resilience is increasing our own gas production. As in the previous heating season, we expect to get through the winter on domestically produced Ukrainian gas," Shmyhal said at a government meeting on Tuesday.
According to him, more than 10 billion cubic meters of gas have already been pumped into storage facilities, and by November, this volume is planned to be increased to more than 13 billion cubic meters.
