World Bank to assess Ukraine's progress in grant access for small farmers
The World Bank as part of a week-long mission to support the implementation of the Ukraine Agriculture Recovery Inclusive Support Emergency (ARISE) project, will assess Ukraine's progress in supporting small farmers' access to grants, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy press service said.
According to the statement, the mission will hold online meetings and surveys with the Ministry of Agricultural Policy team, summarize the work of the second component of the ARISE project to support access of small agricultural producers to financing through grants, and will also further accompany the project implementation activities.
The mission's work will focus on all processes of project implementation, including procurement, financial management, monitoring and reporting of results, compliance with environmental requirements and risk reduction during project implementation, the ministry said.
The World Bank group of specialists will be led by leading agricultural economist Irina Schumann and lead financial sector specialist Johanna Jäger.
