Poroshenko has $26 mln in his bank accounts - declaration

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has submitted a declaration of his 2015 income and assets, which is open for viewing on the website of the Unified State Register of Declarations.

According to this document, Poroshenko owns a 1,331-square-meter house and plots of land totaling around 42,000 square meters in Kozyn in the Kyiv region. The president has 12,400 square meters of land and two apartments, 134 and 82 square meters in size, in Kyiv. His properties in the Vinnytsia and Odesa regions are up to 100 square meters in size. In turn, the president's wife, Maryna Poroshenko, owns 1,900 square meters of land in the Boryspil district of Kyiv and a 344-square-meters dacha.

The president included a 2010 Mercedes Vito 116 CDI, a 2005 Bayliner 185 BR speedboat and leased BMW F02/750Li xDrive and Range Rover SALLMAM in his declaration. The president's wife owns a 2008 Jaguar XF 4/2 Lv8.

Poroshenko's income at his main place of work, the State Administrative Department, stood at UAH 121,054 in 2015.

During the same year, he earned UAH 12,375,404 as interest on deposits at the International Investment Bank, UAH 984,834 as investment revenue on domestic governmental bonds, UAH 45,938,404 as exchange difference on the value of domestic governmental bonds in their redemption and UAH 2,742,123 as exchange difference on investment revenue in the redemption of domestic governmental bonds.

The chief of state had $26,324,870, EUR 14,372 and UAH 540,478 in his accounts at the International Investment Bank, and his wife had UAH 71,146 and EUR 8,943 in her accounts at the same bank.

The president's wife earned UAH 88,772 in 2015 as salaries at three places of her employment: Interstarch Ukraine LLC, Interstarch Ukraine Trade House LLC and the all-Ukrainian charity organization, the Petro Poroshenko Charity Foundation.

In addition, the president declared his contribution of UAH 8.19 million to the non-diversified corporate investment fund, Prime Assets Capital. He lent UAH 1.111 million and $3.85 million to third persons in 2015.

According to the declaration, the chief of state had UAH 900,000 and $60,000 in cash.

Poroshenko declared UAH 159,878,738 spent on properties and securities as his biggest expense in 2015. He also spent money on the lease of vehicles (UAH 480,000) and acquisition of art (UAH 209,792). His utility (gas and electricity) bills stood at UAH 571,387.
