Syroid: Judicial reform to be prioritized at next Rada's session

The next session of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine will prioritize judicial reform and bills related the budget, Rada's First Deputy Chairperson Oksana Syroid has said.

"I can say that the judicial reform will be prioritized," Syroid said on Channel 5 on Friday night.

According to her, the judicial reform is the most important issue, which also requires public trust.

"[We] must adopt not merely a law, but the law that will be worthy of the people who survived the Maidan. So that the society can understand that the essence of the bill represents their expectations, that there will be a court to defend the human dignity," Syroid added.

She urged the approach towards the adoption of the law to be responsible and consistent with attentive studying of all suggestions without hurrying.

In addition, some of the bills to be considered at the next session were proposed by the government as part of the state budget.

However, she believes that the bills must not be adopted separately, but in the context of a comprehensive reform of all sectors, which was determined by the coalition agreement.
