2 min read

UTair-Ukraine (Kyiv), a subsidiary of Russia's UTair, plans to focus on performing regular domestic flights and temporarily stop international regular flights, the airline has told Interfax-Ukraine.

The airline said that flights from Kyiv to Luhansk, Kharkiv and St. Petersburg will be suspended and the opening of Kyiv-Riga and Kyiv-Prague flights will be postponed for an uncertain period of time.

The company said that the measures have grounds due to decreased demand for the said destinations, while on the domestic market the airline introduced two flights a day on the Kyiv-Odesa route, and will retain three flights a day on the Kyiv-Donetsk route and two flights a day on the Kyiv-Lviv route.

The airline said that three Bombardier CRJ 200 aircraft will be removed from its fleet, and that the aircraft could be replaced by other aircraft. The airline denied reports that its ATR 72 aircraft had been removed from its fleet.

UTair-Ukraine has a fleet of three Boeing 737-800s, one Boeing 737-500, five ATR 72-500s and three CRJ 200s.

The route network includes domestic flights from Kyiv to Donetsk, Lviv, Odesa, Kharkiv, and Luhansk, international flights to Moscow, St. Petersburg, Baku and Yerevan, as well as charter flights to Dubai, Dalaman, Antalya, Hurghada, Sharm el-Sheikh, and Barcelona.
