Kyiv subway partially resumes operation, says press service

Kyiv subway reopened on Thursday evening, but didn't open all of its central stations.

All the interchange stations - Khreschatyk, Maidan Nezalezhnosti, Teatralna, Zoloti Vorota, Palats Sportu, and Ploscha Lva Tolstoho, as well as central stations - Poshtova Ploscha and Arsenalna are closed to exit and entrance. Trains will not stop at these stations, the press service of the subway reported.

Vokzalna Station near Kyiv's central train station will be closed for entry, but will be open for exit. Trains will stop at this station to let out passengers.

As reported, the work of Kyiv subway was suspended on Tuesday due to the escalation of the violence in the central part of the city. During this time, above-ground municipal transport was working in emergency mode and was free of charge, however private carriers continued to charge their passengers, while taxis have hiked their fares.
