Former foreign minister Hryschenko appointed Ukraine's vice premier

Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has appointed former Foreign Minister Kostiantyn Hryschenko to the post of vice prime minister.

A relevant decree by Yanukovych was posted on his Web site on Monday.

Hryschenko headed the Foreign Ministry from March 11, 2010 to December 24, 2012. He also served as Ukraine's ambassador to Russia from June 2008.

Yanukovych appointed Regions Party MP Leonid Kozhara as Ukraine's new foreign minister.

Earlier, the president appointed Serhiy Arbuzov (who earlier served as governor of the National Bank of Ukraine) as first vice premier, whereas former Energy and Coal Industry Minister Yuriy Boiko and former Head of Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration Oleksandr Vilkul were appointed vice premiers.
