Special attention was paid to the realization of events to mark the 200th birthday of Taras Shevchenko and celebrate the 1,025th anniversary of the Kyiv Rus conversion to Christianity.

The press service noted that on the same day, Hryschenko, who led the Ukrainian delegation of bishops of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, representatives of local government agencies and civil society organizations, attended a meeting of the international church and public committee on preparations for marking the 1025th anniversary of the Christianization of the Kyiv Rus.

"The meeting participants discussed the coordination of the celebrations, which will be held in Ukraine, Russia and Belarus, the holding of joint events, and the wide involvement of the public, particularly young people, in the celebrations," the press service reported.
