PrJSC Nikopol Ferroalloy Plant (NFP, Dnipropetrovsk region) has stopped operating furnaces for the winter due to possible restrictions on electricity and water, and is repairing equipment.

According to the official information of the enterprise "On the functioning of JSC NFP in the winter," Nikopol is located 5 km from the occupied Enerhodar, which is why it is subjected to constant shelling by enemy artillery every day.

The targets of Russian aggressors are enterprises of critical, energy and industrial infrastructure, including NFP, which today is one of the few industrial enterprises in the metallurgical industry that is trying to maintain a rhythmic mode of operation in these unfavorable conditions, preserving jobs and contributions to budgets of various levels.

But due to the unpredictable actions of the occupiers in the NFP, interruptions in the supply of electricity and water are possible.

The company constantly cares about people, therefore, within the framework of social partnership with the Nikopol community, NFP is introducing and strengthening measures aimed at the safety and protection of the life and health of workers.

To preserve the furnace units, the administration of JSC NFP decided to temporarily suspend the production of ferroalloy products. Meanwhile, the enterprise will continue to carry out construction and repair work related to the modernization of equipment and energy communications, which were repeatedly damaged due to shelling, according to the announcement on the plant's website.

In addition, the administration of the enterprise made sure that payments were maintained for each employee not involved in the above types of work in accordance with current legislation. Also, during the entire period of Russian aggression against Ukraine, the enterprise has not stopped paying the average salary to all employees mobilized into the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for a single day and will continue to do so.

"After eliminating the threat of shelling of Ukraine's energy system, JSC NFP is ready to pursue its continuous work. We assure our partners that the commercial products of JSC NFP are in warehouses, and if necessary, Ukrainian producers will be provided with ferroalloys," the plant said.

Previously included in the group, the Pokrovsky Mining and Processing Plant (formerly Ordzhonikidze Mining), Marhanets Mining and Processing Plant (both are located in Dnipropetrovsk region) suspended the mining and processing of raw manganese ore, and the Zaporizhia Ferroalloy Plant stopped the operation of furnaces for the winter period.

In turn, the Telegram channel "Monopolist" disseminated information that oligarch Ihor Kolomoisky is blackmailing the authorities, despite being in the temporary detention center of the Security Service of Ukraine: allegedly, he gives instructions to his subordinates to build a negotiating position with the Office of the President.
