The Individuals' Deposit Guarantee Fund launched payments on February 18, 2015 to Melior Bank depositors via Ukrinbank, the fund reported on its website.

The payments will last until March 31 inclusive.

Melior Bank depositors who don't apply to the Fund's agent bank by March 31 will be paid compensation after the consideration of their individual written applications filed with the Fund. The applications will be accepted as long as information about the liquidation of the bank as a legal entity is included in the State Register of Legal Entities.

As reported, the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) decided on February 10 to withdraw Melior Bank's banking license and liquidate it.

Interim administration at Melior Bank was in effect until February 10, 2015.

Melior Bank was registered on February 24, 2012. Its only shareholder is Krian LLC. Andriy Kuznetsov holds 75% in Krian LLC and Olha Kononova holds 24%.

Melior Bank ranked 158th among 158 Ukrainian banks as of January 1, 2015, in terms of total assets worth UAH 84.765 million, the NBU said.
