ReBuild Ukraine: Health & Rehabilitation, a large-scale medical rehabilitation forum,
will take place in Warsaw

Ukraine's medical projects have united to demonstrate to the world the needs and possibilities of restoring the health of people affected by the war, raising additional funds to build modern medical infrastructure and rehabilitation.

In order to create an effective platform for attracting additional funding for projects to restore Ukraine’s human capital the international forum ReBuild Ukraine: Health & Rehabilitation will be held on 24-25 June in Warsaw (exhibition center EXPO XXI).

Over two years of its aggressive war, russia has caused significant damage to Ukraine's medical infrastructure and inflicted physical and mental trauma on a large number of military and civilians who are now in need of treatment and rehabilitation. In particular, 1537 medical facilities were damaged, 203 were completely destroyed. More than 150,000 adults and children have lost limbs. According to the World Bank, the damage is estimated at $1.4 billion, and the need to restore and reconstruct the medical system is $14.2 billion over the next 10 years.

The event will be a continuation of ReBuild Ukraine, a successful international forum for rebuilding of Ukraine. In 2023, 2 events on infrastructure and energy recovery were held  and received significant support from governments of many countries, world-renowned manufacturers, Ukrainian communities, financial and donor organisations.

In turn, ReBuild Ukraine: Health & Rehabilitation will gather three components of healthcare recovery: the first - about 30 Ukrainian medical projects and communities, the second - more than 100 medical equipment manufacturers and designers of medical facilities, and the third - more than 300 international financial institutions (public and private), which mainly offer donor financing for medical projects, as well as representatives of government agencies, doctors, distribution companies and other stakeholders.

The national stand «Ukraine and its medical rehabilitation projects» will bring together leading rehabilitation projects and medical institutions such as Superhumans, Unbroken, the Centre for Comprehensive Rehabilitation Galicia, Lviv NOVA Clinic, Kremenchuk Regional Clinical Hospital for War Veterans; representatives of communities, owners of medical institutions in Kyiv, Poltava, Vinnytsia, Odesa and other regions. Participants will also present their fundraising projects on the big stage of ReBuild Ukraine: Health & Rehabilitation.

The exhibition will include the Human Capital Recovery conference and a series of events on global experience in restoring human capital, establishing a rehabilitation system, cooperation between medical institutions, organising assistance and support in times of war, and creating a barrier-free society.
