During the last year, one of the most developed Ukrainian banks, monobank, stopped connecting acquiring services to new businesses that use Tilda, the Russian website builder. The bank's decision was approved as a part of the campaign to enhance National Cybersecurity and create an IT space independent of Russian technologies.   “We do understand the importance of providing information safety for our clients, which is why we deliberately decided to stop using products that have connections with the Russian market. It is our policy, and it will not change, even depending on the size of these products’ audience in Ukraine. Even now, we constantly get requests in support about connecting to acquiring websites created on Tilda. Our response doesn’t change.”, — claims Eduard Bondarenko, acquiring project manager in monobank.   Tilda website owners are refused to connect acquiring services from monobank, but they are offered an alternative Ukrainian solution. When these users connect with the support team, they face the following dialogue: During the conversation with the representative of the monobank care team, the user didn’t receive a plain rejection but was offered a solution, which cost 20% less by using the special promo code from monobank.   It is worth mentioning that the monobank initiative overlaps the IT Ukraine association project called “Enemy Software.” The project aims to reduce the instances of Russian technologies and provide cybersecurity in the Ukrainian IT area.   “The path of not using Russian software in any national projects, from huge government programs to a website for a pizzeria down the street, is a conscious, important, and challenging step. Considering the geopolitical situation, we think that using security measures and excluding Russian software is strategically crucial to provide the highest level of information security on all possible levels,” — Mariia Shevchuk, executive director of IT Ukraine association.   As a part of the “Enemy Software” program, IT Ukraine puts the Tilda website builder on the blacklist and offers Ukrainian businessmen to use, as an alternative, a Ukrainian website builder Weblium, which Western experts acclaim as a safe and effective tool for creating websites, landing pages, portfolios, and stores.
