Member of the IOC, outstanding Ukrainian athlete Serhiy Bubka arrived in South Korea to personally support young Ukrainian athletes participating in the Winter Youth Olympic Games. The sportsman wrote about this on his page in the X.

«44 athletes are representing Ukraine at the Winter Youth Olympics in South Korea! It’s inspiring and fascinating! Their participation and medals is a victory for the whole of Ukraine!» - he noted.

The IV Winter Youth Olympic Games in South Korea lasts from January 19 to February 1, 2024. Ukraine is represented by 44 athletes in 12 sports disciplines.

Biathlete Polina Putsko won a bronze medal in the 6 km sprint at the Winter Youth Olympics in South Korea. Skeletonist Yaroslav Lavrenyuk won the silver medal.
