Intl expert Dr. Egbert Laege joins UEEX Advisory Board

Leading expert of the European energy market – Dr. Egbert Laege, who was for a long-time a Member of the Management Board of European Energy Exchange EEX AG, CEO and President of Powernext SA, has joined the UEEX Advisory Board.

Agbert Laege has unparalleled tremendous experience in building efficient energy exchange markets and energy trading. He is currently a senior advisor of the Boston Consulting Group, investor and non-executive director of EMEX (Eastern Med. Energy Exchange), member of the Supervisory Board of EPEXSpot, an international power exchange in Paris, and implements a number of other functions in the field of business advisory.

Under the management of Egbert Laege, the position of the PEGAS platform, which emerged from the cooperation between EEX and Powernext, was significantly expanded to the leading trading platform for natural gas trading in the EU, which accelerated the integration of the European gas market. Egbert Laege managed the creation and headed EEX Asia in Singapore.

In addition to more than 25 years of experience in energy, global projects and implementation of modern trading technologies, Egbert Laege has high educational qualifications from Harvard, Stanford, Stuttgart University and the University of Arizona, among others.

As a member of the CE UEEX Advisory Board, Dr. Egbert Laege is involved in shaping strategic decisions for the development of the Ukrainian Energy Exchange, including the strengthening of international cooperation.
