This year for the first time, we are pleased to announce KYIV WINE – a big festival, which was created from the idea to combine a couple of dozens of events concerning wine and gastronomy. The goal is simple – enjoy a good wine, incredible food and having fun with friends. Nearly 50 wine producers from 7 countries will come together to show a new tasting format in Kyiv. The event will be held on June, 4 at the Parkovy Convention & Exhibition Centre located right in the central part of Kyiv. The initiator and organizer of the event is Good Wine. All wines will be presented by glass – about 500 items of still, sparkling and fortified wines, a variety of styles from light and fresh wines to structural and complex ones, including iconic Burgundy, rare Brunello, a good selection of Barolo, extraordinary orange, organic and biodynamic wines. KYIV WINE provides the opportunity to meet Giorgio Pelissero, Alessio Dorigo, Angelo Butussi, Marco Bergaglio and other top winemakers personally, and listen to one of 338 world Masters of Wine, who will come to Ukraine for the first time. Guests can also attend lectures and workshops, relax or dance on rooftop with friends, enjoy a good meal at pop-up restaurants on the roof with a breath-taking (it’s not a cliche) view of Kyiv. All this is possible in one day, and at any time of the day. A few facts: The total area of the event is 7,500 m², including a magnificent rooftop overlooking the Dnipro river. Wine. The first floor of Parkovy will present around 500 wines from hundreds of different world producers. All participants will have the opportunity to try great wines by glass using the Coravin System. Champagne bar. Food. Open Air BBQ will occupy the entire helipad roof. There will be about 100 kinds of snacks, fresh and healthy meals from iconic restaurants and small food corners. In addition, there will be the BBQ-area and oyster bar from Good Wine, coffee point, fresh pastries and ice cream, meat & cheese bar with an invited cortador from Spain, sparkling bar and wine bar with wines and cocktails. Entertainment. The Open Air BBQ area will have the established music scene, cozy children’s area and relax zone for thousand seats. The guests staying until midnight will enjoy the open air cinema. Kyiv Wine will hold 20 entertaining and educational events in one day. Lecturer-hall with educational lectures and workshops, blind tasting, rules of food and wine pairings, organic and biodynamic winemaking from leading reputable Ukrainian sommeliers and invited foreign winemakers. Children’s area with cooking workshops, animators, a real micro-farm and a training programme for organic farming. Ticket price: UAH 250, which includes Spiegelau tasting glass.
