KYIV. June 30 (Interfax-Ukraine) – State-owned enterprise System of Electronic Trading in Seized Property (SETAM) has signed a contract with state-owned Ukreximbank to sell its property at electronic auctions.

"Ukreximbank has joined those banks that have been already cooperating with us. Soon first lots of the bank would appear in the system," SETAM Director General Viktor Vishnev said at a press conference at Interfax-Ukraine in Kyiv on Thursday.

He said that during the period of SETAM operation some 18,000 lots for over UAH 2.8 billion have been sold at its electronic auctions.

"We can say that most of the lots are sold during first auctions now. The sales efficiency is higher than average global level, as the price is increased by over 10%," Vishnev said.

He also said that SETAM won a tender to sell property of PrivatBank and now the sides are approving the details of the contract conditions. After signing the contract with the bank SETAM would be waiting for applications from the bank.

Vishnev said that as part of the introduction of the Blockchain technology it is planned to design an auction public audit module, which would allow any auction participants to verify the admission of their price by the system. The module will be presented in July 2017.

Commenting on a hacker attack on some state-owned and private institutions in Ukraine on June 27, Vishnev said that SETAM was not affected, but the system had to postpone auctions.

"SETAM was not affected, but we had to postpone auctions over partially non-operating status of the banking infrastructure. Persons who planned to take part in the auctions failed to pay the deposit fee. The auctions were postponed for next week. Everyone who registered to take part in the auctions would be able to participate in them," he said.
