Kyiv, February 27 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Gaz Ukrainy, a subsidiary company of Naftogaz Ukrainy, has appealed to the Kyiv District Administrative Court asking it to invalidate Cabinet resolution No. 770 dated August 20, 2012 on transferring state gas distribution networks to regional gas supply and gasification companies, the deputy director for work with counterparties at Gaz Ukrainy, Tetiana Bondar, said during a press conference at Interfax-Ukraine.

"We are now trying to cancel decision No. 770 dated 2012, which absolutely illegally allowed the transfer of the networks to regional gas companies, which have not invested any penny in the chains," she said.

According to Bondar, Gaz Ukrainy appealed to the Kyiv District Administrative Court ten days ago. The company also appealed to the Constitutional Court asking it to clarify whether ruling No. 770 complies with the legislation of Ukraine, in particular, the Commercial Code.

"We hope there are all the prerequisites for Naftogaz to pass the networks to us so that we could become their operators," the expert said.
