Ukraine hasn't drafted blacklist of Russian companies for sanctions yet

Kyiv, August 4 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Ukraine hasn't drafted the blacklist of Russian companies and facilities that could be subject to Ukrainian sanctions, and the issue is under discussion, Chief of the State Fiscal Service Ihor Bilous said at a press conference at Interfax-Ukraine on Monday.

"As of today there are no lists of private or state-owned companies from Russia, the blacklist doesn't exist. Under discussion now are general personal sanctions and sanctions against legal entities," he said.

Such sanctions could be introduced by parliament only, and if such decisions are taken, the Cabinet will issue relative statements, Bilous said.

"If such decisions are taken, they need to be formalized, and you'll see a corresponding draft law. It won't happen earlier than August 12," he said

"The entire world, Europe and the United States have already introduced their sanctions, and we, as a party involved in the dispute, should take measures," he said.

"Yet, this is under discussion now. No [final] decision has been taken at the moment. Our work is technical – we're drafting a list. These are hundreds, [even] thousands of companies, and it's difficult to say now if this or that company will be put onto the list. All of them are being considered by the government, and I'd like to stress there is no ready blacklist now," he said.
