Kyiv, July 8 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Public joint-stock company Ukrgazvydobuvannia receives up to 200,000 cubic meters of gas less due to damage of gas pipelines that connect the company's extraction fields in Donbas, Ukrgazvydobuvannia Head Serhiy Kostiuk said at a press conference at Interfax-Ukraine on Tuesday.

"Some of our fields are located in the zone of the armed conflict, and there are several cases when shells hit gas pipelines and the company had to disconnect them. We state that today we’re losing up to 200,000 cubic meters of gas a day due to this," he said.

As reported, illegal armed groups in Donetsk and Luhansk region have seized property and have done other damage to public joint-stock company Ukrgazvydobuvannia worth over UAH 86 million.

The matter concerns the capture of equipment at five rigs of the Shebelynka unit of Ukrburgaz, located in Donetsk and Luhansk regions, the company said.

Ukrgazvydobuvannia is the largest natural gas producer in the country, accounting for about 75% of the total gas production in Ukraine.
